SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Season tickets for Missouri State’s 23-game 2014 home baseball schedule are now available through the MSU Athletics Box Office. As part of all Bears’ season-ticket packages, individuals who place their orders by the Feb. 1 renewal deadline will receive complementary tickets to MSU’s annual First Pitch Night, which will be held Feb. 8 at the Bill Rowe Training Facility at Hammons Field.
MSU, which will open the home portion of their schedule Feb. 28 against Purdue, is coming off its third consecutive 30-win season. Entering his 32nd year at the helm of the Bears baseball program, head coachKeith Guttin will welcome back 20 letterwinners from last year’s 31-23 squad, including All-Missouri Valley Conference honorees Tyler Burgess, Eric Cheray and Cody Schumacher, as well as 2013 freshman All-Americans Jon Harris and Tate Matheny.
In addition to the three-game series with the Boilermakers (Feb. 28-March 2), the Bears’ home schedule includes match-ups against the likes of Missouri (April 15), Kansas (May 7) and nationally-ranked Arkansas (April 29) and Oklahoma State (March 18) squads, as well as MVC series with Southern Illinois (March 28-30), Evansville (May 15-17) and defending league champion Illinois State (April 18-20). MSU will also host non-conference series against Arkansas State (March 4-5) and Dallas Baptist (March 14-16) and single-games versus Saint Louis (April 1) and Oral Roberts (May 6).
Renewal information for current season-ticket holders will be mailed this week and will include packages for lower-level reserved chairback seats for $100 (general public), $50 for Missouri State faculty and staff and $20 for students. Eight-game mini-packages will also be offered for $32 per ticket. Additionally, MSU is offering free season-long admission for up to two children (ages 12 and under) with the purchase of two 2014 season tickets.Bears’ single-game tickets for the 2014 season, which are available on game days at the Hammons Field box office, remain priced at $5 for the general public, $2.50 for Missouri State faculty and staff, $2 for students and special rates are offered for groups of 20 or more. All children ages 12 and under not accompanied by a season-ticket holder will require a $2 ticket for admission. Students must show a valid and current BearPass Card along with a student ticket to gain entry to Hammons Field.
All Bears baseball season-ticket holders-including new orders and renewals placed by Feb. 1-will be entitled to the same number of complementary tickets to MSU’s sixth-annual First Pitch fundraiser, additional details for which will be announced in the near future.
