WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Justin Satchell, a 6-foot, 7-inch guard from Miramar, Fla., is the latest addition to the 2013-14 Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Basketball Team.
Head Coach Yancey Walker made the official announcement today.
“Justin adds another dimension to our team,” the coach said. “At 6-foot, 7-inches, he has the size, length and skill level to be a match-up problem for our opponents. We, as a staff, are looking forward to watching him come in and work to get to the highest level he can. He should have an exciting career as a Grizzly.”
As a senior, Satchell averaged 19 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals per game for Pembroke Pines High School. He earned second-team Class 6A all-state honors last season and was named the 2013 All-Broward County Winter Athlete and BCAA MVP. He was an all-tournament team selection in the 2010 and 2012 Hawk Kreul Classics and in the 2011 Boca Raton Classic and Slamfest.
Satchell joins fellow freshmen recruits Dante Bailey, a 6-foot, 5-inch forward from Chicago Ridge, Ill.; Craig Eubanks, a 6-foot, 3-inch guard from Cleveland, Ohio; Jameel Moore, a 6-foot, 4-inch guard from Richmond Heights, Ohio; Justin Jamison, a 6-foot, 9-inch forward from Garfield Heights, Ohio; and Jeremiah Jackson, a 6-foot, 1-inch point guard from Canton, Ohio.
