WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Several area high school senior boys and girls basketball players will take the court one more time Sunday afternoon, April 28, in the eighth annual Grizzly All-Star Classic hosted by the Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Basketball program.
The girls game will get underway at 3 p.m., and the boys game will follow at 5. Both games will be played in the West Plains Civic Center arena. Three-point and slam dunk contests will take place between the games.
Players from Alton, Ava, Cabool, Doniphan, East Carter County in Ellsinore, Fordland, Gainesville, Hartville, Koshkonong, Licking, Mansfield, Mountain Grove, Norwood, Salem, Seymour, West Plains, Willow Springs, Winona and Mountain Home, Ark., will be featured in the games, Grizzly Basketball Head Coach Yancey Walker said.
“We are happy to showcase the local talent again this year in our annual Grizzly All-Star Classic,” he said. “We hope this event provides another great memory for each individual’s high school basketball career.”
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children age 12 and under.
Sponsors for the event include CenturyLink, Landmark Bank, McVicker Family Healthcare of Ozarks Medical Center in Mtn. View, and the West Plains Civic Center.
