(West Plains) – The Missouri State-West Plains Grizzlies basketball squad didn’t have many roster spots available going into next season. In just over a week since the signing period began for next year, already 4 spots have possibly been filled with letters of intent signed by three players from Ohio and one from Chicago, according to the NJCAA letters of intent website.
The earliest signee was Dante Bailey, a 6-6 small forward from Quakerdale New Promise Academy in New Providence, Iowa. The Chicago native had several big games for the Eagles this year and will give the Grizzlies a bonafide scorer on the perimeter.
Craig Eubanks, a 6-2, 170 lb. guard from Cleveland’s Glenville High School, is expected to add some depth to the MSU-WP guard core. He averaged 16 per game as a senior this year.
Justin Jamison is a unique story. At 6-8, 225, he will add an inside presence though he has been away from the game, playing baseball for the past couple of years. Jamison is from Strongsville, Ohio.
The fourth signee is big guard Jameel Moore, Richmond Heights, Ohio. At 6-5, he will be able to play multiple positions. He averaged 16 points per game for the RHS Spartans this year.
Letters of intent are not binding.
