Lovern Harriette Goetz, age 84, daughter of Harry and Corinne (Corbeil) Stevens, was born December 20, 1927 in Garfield Park Hospital, Chicago, IL. She passed away May 21, 2012 at Texas County Memorial Hospital with Bill and Kim by her side.

Lovern grew up in Chicago and graduated from a Catholic School. She married Theodore Goetz, Jr. on September 13, 1947 at Our Lady Help of Christian Catholic Church, Chicago, IL. They had three sons, Ted, Pat and Bill.

Ted and Lovern moved to the Beulah area on Feb. 1, 1968 because they had fallen in love with Missouri.

Lovern is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ted in 2005, and one sister Ethel Stevens Frost.

She is survived by three sons: Ted Goetz and wife Margret, of Dryersburg, TN, Pat Goetz and wife Susan of Yuma, AZ, Bill Goetz and wife Kim of Houston, MO, 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and other family and friends.

Lovern worked for Brach’s in Chicago, IL. When they moved to the Beulah area she worked at Rawlings in Licking, MO. However, she was mostly a stay at home Mother raising three boys.

She had several interests. She enjoyed painting, drawing, and watching the old science fiction movies.

She LOVED cats and kept a diary of every cat that lived with her.

She was a lifetime member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary.

Lovern will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be Friday May 25th, from 10-11 AM in the Evans Funeral Home. Services will be May 25th at 11 AM in the Evans Funeral Home, Pastor Jackie Cooper officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Memorials may be made to TASTC. On-line condolences may be sent to
