Donna Campbell Waldo, 65, a resident of Dover passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, at her residence.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 16, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Dover.

The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Dover with the Reverend Don Hankins and the Reverend Herb Tilley officiating. Burial will be in Owens Cemetery north of Dover under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home of Mountain Home (870) 425-3353.

She was born February 13, 1949, in Vendor, Arkansas to Vade Monroe and Donna Venita (Passmore) Campbell. Donna married Donnie Edward Waldo, Sr. on June 11, 1966 in Dover. She graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Education and then from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway with a Master’s of Arts in Special Education.

Donna was a special education teacher at Dover Public Schools retiring in May of 2004 after 22 years of service. She loved reading, gardening and shopping and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dover.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vade M. Campbell; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Doyle Edward and Beatrice Aline Waldo; a son, David Waldo; a grandson, Aaron Sims; a brother-in-law, Gene Walker and a sister-in-law, Dortha Ballard.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Donnie Waldo, of Dover; a son and daughter-in-law, Donnie, Jr. and Electa Waldo of Dover; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Danny Sims of Dover; her mother, Donna Campbell of Dover; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ronnie and Judy Campbell of Mount Judea and Brandy Campbell; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Jimmie Lee and Clell Atkinson of Harrisonville, Missouri, Patsy and Larry Clark of Dover, twin sister, Vada Lou Walker of Dover, Connie Campbell of Dover, Euna and Rickey McCutcheon of Bass and Wanda and Boyd Freeman of Dover; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Johnny and Arlene Waldo of London and Lynn Ballard of Dover; four grandchildren, Sydney Sims of Dover, Kalie Beemer of Coldwater, Michigan, Jennifer Beemer of Quincy, Michigan and Bobby Beemer of Coldwater, Michigan; nine great grandchildren; Alex, Triston and Luna Beemer, all of Coldwater, Michigan, Bianca and Brayden Beemer, both of Quincy, Michigan and Nylita, Serinity and Nova Beemer of Coldwater, Michigan; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Richard Garland, Josh Waldo, Freddie Don Flud, Matt Apple, Tony Waldo, and Jimmy Ray Gunter.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Waldo, Lynn Ballard, Ronnie Campbell, Clell Atkinson, Larry Clark, Boyd Freeman, and Rickey McCutcheon.
