Bearden, Don K. 70, left this earth on June 10th after suffering a fatal stroke. Don was born on August 22, 1943, in Ash Flat, Arkansas, the fifth child of Bill and Estie Bearden.

Funeral services were held on June 13th at Pittsgrove Presbyterian Church , Daretown, NJ with Paul Tuttle conducting the service. A second service will be held June 17th at 10:00 AM at the Church of Christ in Ash Flat, AR. Wortham Funeral Home and Steve Collins conducting the service. Burial at Wiles Cemetary beside his parents and two sisters.

He was a 1961 graduate of Hutchinson High School and recieved an Associates of Arts degree from Hutchinson Junior College in 1963. He served in the United States Air Force for 5 years as a Radar Maintenance Specialist. He retired from Subaru after a 30-year career. Don was preceeded in death by his parents and two sisters, Elwanda Curley of Hutchinson, KS and Tommie Richardson of Ash Flat, AR. He is survived by his wife, Melva of Alloway , NJ, two daughters, Bonnie (Donald) Stevens of Point Pleasant, NJ and Kari Ferrier of Walterboro, SC. One son, Jay Bearden of Maple Shade, NJ. Sisters, Elaine Collins of Pocahontas, AR, Linda( Bud) Day of Opelika, AL. Brothers, Bill (Kathy) Bearden of Hutchinson, KS and Dennis (Sara) Bearden of Wichita, KS. Also, A brother-in-law, Jack Richardson of Ash Flat, AR. He has 11 grandchildren,as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
