Max William Kolbe, 83, of Birch Tree, Missouri died March 19, 2012 at Mercy-St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View, Missouri. He was born January 21, 1929 at Muskegon, Michigan, the son of Albert William and Ruth Beatrice (Erickson) Kolbe.

Visitation will be Thursday March 22, 2012, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Yarber Mortuary. Funeral Services will be Thursday March 22, 2012, 2:00 p.m.

Those preceding him in death were his parents; sister-in-law Janet Kolbe; and grandson, David Manley.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Lorene (Price) Kolbe; children, Michael Kolbe, Muskegon, MI, Janice Kolbe, State of Colorado, Kenny Kolbe, State of Michigan, Ronnie Kolbe, State of Michigan, Bruce Kolbe, Birch Tree, MO, Keith Kolbe, Cleveland, AL, Douglas Kolbe, Portsmith, VA; Danny Price, Birch Tree, MO, Janis Manley, Pine River, MN, Jerry Sanbothe, Kansas City, KS, and Richard Price, Elk Creek, MO; three brothers, Jack Kolbe, David Kolbe and Don Kolbe and sister, Shirley Bush, all of the State of Michigan; 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Max served his country in the United States Coast Guard and Army for 20 years during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend who will be sadly missed by all.
