Susan Patricia Holloway Mast was born April 14, 1953 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Jim and Pat Holloway. Surrounded by her four children she went home to be with Jesus Sunday, February 2, 2014.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday February 6, 2014, at Yarber Mortuary. Funeral Services will be Friday February 7, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church, with Interment at Cave Spring Cemetery, Alton, MO.

Susan spent most of her growing up years in Prairie Grove, Arkansas and graduated from Prairie Grove High School. Susan married David Mast at the 1stBaptist Church in Prairie Grove, AR on June 16, 1972. Susan earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education from Southwest Baptist University and took great pride in teaching math at Liberty Middle School for the past 11 years. Susan was an active member of the 1st Baptist Church of Mtn. View and the Liberty High School Cheerleader sponsor and coached volleyball. Susan was also involved with The Star Dramatic Company of Willow Springs. She was a great cook who loved to feed family and friends and was also a avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

Susan was preceded in death by her mother.

Susan is survived by her loving husband David Mast, of Mtn. View; her father James Holloway of Alton; MO, brother Jim and wife Debbie Holloway of Lusk, WY; son Jonathan Mast, wife Jawanda, and granddaughter Rachel of Olathe, KS; daughter Elizabeth Lacomb, husband Rodney, and grandson Brandon Liles of Elton, LA; son James Mast, wife Natalie and granddaughter Claire of Joplin, MO; daughter Jennifer Spencer and husband Glenn of Mtn. View, MO; granddaughters Rosia and Hali Liles and great grandchildren Allie and Ricky Bradshaw all of Mtn. View MO; and mother-in-law Lucille Mast, also of Mtn. View MO; several nephews and other extended family members.

Susan loved her family and friends. She was a cherished wife, devoted mother and grandmother, loving daughter and sister, loyal friend and faithful follower of her Lord Jesus Christ. The family will accept visitors on Thursday, February 6, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Yarber Mortuary in Mtn. View. Susan loved life and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was truly a good and faithful servant and will be deeply missed. Friends and families are invited to join in celebrating her life at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 7 at the 1st Baptist Church of Mtn. View, MO. Interment to follow at Cave Spring Cemetery in Alton, MO.
