Lula and Murrel were married 49 years. Murrel preceded her in death in 2008. Lula is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gilbert and Levi; and one sister, Freda Rosetta Sechrest.

Lula’s greatest fear was to have to go into a nursing home. Her daughters, Rhonda and Kathy, kept their promise to their mama and she was able to stay home surrounded with love.

When Lula was a girl, her first love was horses. She loved working the fields with her dad and riding horses. Lula loved making quilts and crochet work. Many beautiful quilts were created by her hands.

Lula will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. There will be an empty space in our hearts no one could fill.
