Beatrice Janice Provencio, age 76, daughter of Hugh Jefferson and Hazel Nanny (Davis) Roney was born October 4, 1937 in Troy, Tennessee. She passed away on October 30, 2013 in Houston, Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son Reggie Wengler, three husbands, Eugene Floyd Wengler, William F. Edwards and Robert Provencio and one brother.

She is survived by her sons; Kevin Wengler and Timothy Edwards, a step-daughter Stacy Wengler; five grandchildren: Andy, Katie, Cody, Crystal and Shawn Edwards; two great grandchildren, Gracie and Owen Edwards; one sister Eva “Maxine” Wright, many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Janice moved to California when she was in her early 20’s. She lived there for over 40 years. When her children and grandchildren were living in Missouri there was a great pull for her to move to the Houston, Missouri area. So in 2005 Janice made the cross country move.

Janice loved to be outdoors in her younger years, going camping and fishing. She still loved to go for drives to enjoy the beautiful Ozark scenery and even use that time out to go and eat, which was a special delight for her. Janice also enjoyed the older family sitcoms and movies. She would settle in for a day with the Walton’s, Andy Griffith, I Love Lucy or an old movie, sit back and share laughter or tears with each show.

She loved being with her children and grandchildren. She did enjoy cooking and liked to cook and serve special dishes for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be missed by those who knew and loved her best.
