Ruthanne Kratochvil, 84, a resident of Mountain Home passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at her home.

She was born June 19, 1929, in Aberdeen, South Dakota to the late Ralph X. and Ruth Helen Marie (Roberts) Vannella. Ruthanne married Joseph Theodore Kratochvil on January 14, 1950, in Bensenville, Illinois. They relocated to Mountain Home in 1968 from Bensenville. Ruthanne was most importantly known by her family as a wonderful mother who dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. After Joseph passed away she worked several years at the Wal-Mart in Mountain Home where she met many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and a granddaughter, Sheri Anne Gardner.

Survivors include four sons and a daughter-in-law, Joseph and Beth Kratochvil of Pineville, Timothy and Michael Kratochvil, both of Mountain Home and Blaise Kratochvil (Connie Jones) of Mountain Home; five daughters and sons-in-law, Bernadette Kratochvil and Gary Hughes of Hot Springs, and Theresa and Rick Gardner, Mary and Larry McGrath, Suzanne Cassidy and Lisa and David Riggs, all of Mountain Home; a sister, Patricia Helgesen of Cotter; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

A gathering of family and friends will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday at Baxter Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Beth Kratochvil officiating by Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.
