Ed Lawrence went home to be with angels on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. He passed away at Mercy St. Francis Hospital, Mountain View, Missouri. Ed was born October 28, 1925 in Pineville, Louisiana, the son of Napoleon and Annie (Nunlee) Lawrence.

Visitation will be held Friday May 31, 2013, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Yarber Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be Saturday June 1, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Yarber Mortuary. Interment will be at Corinth Cemetery, Birch Tree, MO.

From a previous marriage Ed fathered four sons; James Edward, Jerry Kenneth, David John, and Richard Allen. Ed was married on August 21, 1959 to Bertha Marie Goodwin. In addition, Ed and Bertha adopted six children; Donna Jean, Charles Earl, Mary, Trevor Reed, Trent Russell, and Chrystal Michelle.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Marie; wife Bertha; two brothers, Louie and Napoleon; one son James Edward Lawrence; and one grandson, Daniel Edward Wade.

Survivors include his children, Jerry Lawrence and wife Barbara, Lake Sherwood, MO, David Lawrence, Sunset Hills, MO, Richard Lawrence and wife Antoinette “Sis”, Jonesburg, MO, Donna Pinnel, Mountain View, Charles Lawrence, Warrenton, MO, Mary (Lawrence) Wright and husband Dale, Jonesburg, MO, Trevor Lawrence, Mountain View, Trent Lawrence, O’Fallon, MO, and Chrystal Lawrence, Mountain View; one sister Janie (Lawrence) Tatum; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

Ed loved his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years. In recent years he hardly ever missed a St. Louis Cardinal radio broadcast.
