Funeral services for Steven Craig Compton, 59, Drury, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 3, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Compton died Friday, May 24, 2013, at his home.

He was born February 17, 1954, on Elgin Air Force Base at Fort Walton Beach, to Marvin Compton and the late Elsa Adkins Compton. Mr. Compton was a veteran having served in the United States Navy and was a retired law enforcement officer. On November 1, 1995, he was married at Trenton, Florida to Theresa Cantrelle. He was a history buff and was very patriotic; he loved horses and old westerns. Mr. Compton was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Compton, of the family home; three step-children, Angel Taylor, husband, Jim Winter Garden, Florida, Ann Hall, husband Andrew, Gentryville, Missouri and Ray Allen, wife, Heather, Hernando, Florida; four step-grandchildren, Michael Allen, Lindsay Roye, James Taylor and Rayanna Taylor; his father, Marvin Compton, Tomball, Texas; one sister, Kay Overand, husband, Allan, Tomball, Texas; one niece Heather Powell and her son, Chance.

His mother precedes him in death.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.
