Shirley “Jo” Moak, 68, a resident of Midway passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at her residence.

She was born February 12, 1945, in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Cullen Anderson and Lillian Mae Finley Loflin. Jo was a veteran of the United States Air Force. After her military service she worked as a Registered Nurse for over 17 years. Jo married Jimmy Edward Moak, Sr. on April 17, 1972, in Hamburg, Arkansas. They relocated to Midway in 1995 from West Monroe, Louisiana. She loved bowling; spoiling her grandchildren and singing with her husband, Jim. Jo was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Jean Ethridge.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Jim Moak of Midway; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Sean Brady of Mountain Home and Jimmy, Jr. and Jennifer Moak of Monroe, Louisiana; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mandy and Randy Bennett of Mountain Home, Jodi and James Rogers of Gepp and Tammy Peoples (Moak) of Mountain Home; a step-daughter, Melinda Joyner of Calhoun, Louisiana; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Melba and Roy Aston and Francis Wallace, all of Monroe, Louisiana; 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Word of Life Church with the Reverend James Ramsey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.
