Charles Otis Davis, 83, passed away after a long illness on April 13, 2013 at Licking Park Manor. He was born on the Ancestral home on Brushy Creek Road on January 15, 1930 to William Gilford and Leona Melinda (McGibney) Davis.

Otis was of the Christian faith. He enlisted in the Army January 17, 1952 and served in Korea. He was honorably discharged December 9, 1953 as a Corporal, receiving the Korean Service Meal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Meal and the Good Conduct Medal.

He worked for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad in Chicago. Otis was also a carpenter in St.Louis. He was dedicated to his home and land and built his own home a short distance from the family home. Otis was awarded the Missouri Century Farm award in 1993.

Otis was preceded in death by his parents, and infant daughter, Sharon Genene, three brothers; Ernest McGibney, Erman McGibney and John W. Davis and a sister, Ruth Mae Castleman.

Surviving is a sister Mary Lou O’Neill of North Port, FL, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
