Emogene M. Wendt, 77, a resident of Mountain Home passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at the Baxter Regional Medical Center.

She was born July 20, 1935, in Marshfield, Wisconsin to the late, Walter and Zoa Conoyer Kohl. Mrs. Wendt was an avid golfer, bowler, gardener and bird watcher. She was also involved with the Lady Elks. Mrs. Wendt was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; two brothers and a grandson, Luke.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Bill Wendt of Mountain Home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie and Jim Turinski of Mountain Home and Kim Hummer of Jefferson, Wisconsin; a son, Scott Perry of Hubertus, Wisconsin; three sisters, Ione Brusky of Johnson Creek, Wisconsin, Charlotte Posch of Citrus Heights, California and Jane Luckitch of Johnson Creek, Wisconsin; a brother, Vernon Kohl of Friendship, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Allyson and Ian and two great grandchildren, Jillian and Wyatt.

Arrangements are private under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Perry’s Orphans Sanctuary, 1031 County Road 144, Oakland, AR 72661.
