Robert G. Moore, 69, a resident of Whiteville passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at his residence.

He was born January 6, 1943, in Hornell, New York to the late Harold and Eileen Pearl Boyd Moore. Robert graduated in 1960 from the University of Connecticut as a certified welder. After working as a welder for several years Robert returned to the University of Connecticut where he graduated in 1970 from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources as a farrier. He relocated to Gassville from Hornell, New York in 1981 continuing his work as a farrier for Cox Western World and then Trimble Stables. Robert worked as a farrier for over 40 years. He loved making horseshoe art, building smokers and grills and barbecuing for family and friends. Robert was a friend of Bill W for over 31 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Robert George Moore, Jr.

Survivors include his fiancé, Suzie Worsley of Whiteville; his daughter, Amy Beatty of Mountain Home; a brother, John Moore of Wyoming; three grandchildren, Damon, Kiley and Allie Berry, all of Mountain Home and two nephews, Brian and Chris Moore, both of Montana.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the Bar None Cowboy Church, 44 Arrowleaf Lane (County Road 15) in Midway with Bro. Terry Ott officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.
