William T. Lawson, 95, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at EagleCrest Nursing Home in Ash Flat, Arkansas. He was born June 25, 1919, in New York City, New York, and served in the U.S. Army in World War II.
William was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and had worked as a warehouse manager and had managed a golf course for several years. He was a participating member of the Cherokee Village Men’s Golf Association.
Mr. Lawson was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John; a step-daughter Victoria Acerra; and a step-granddaughter, Eden Dodd.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Doris Lawson of Cherokee Village; daughter, Pamela Henning of Oceanside, California; step-son James (Kathy) Acerra of Mountain Home, Arkansas; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will plan a memorial service for a later date.
