John Thomas Mathews, 85, of Mountain Home passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Gassville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
John was born June 2, 1929 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to the late Tommy and Jewel (Tyler) Mathews. He loved his family and had a close relationship with the Lord.
He is survived by two daughters, Anne Brooks and fiancé Randy Fore of Mountain Home and Susan Mathews of Harrison; two grandchildren, James Brooks and fiancé Keeleigh Deany of Sherwood and Cara Brooks and fiancé Travis Belt of Alpena; one great grandson Trey Belt of Alpena; one sister Marie Simpson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; special friends Stan and Caroll Partridge of Harrison and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Conner-Hankins Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Mountain Home Cemetery under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
