Donald S. St. John, 91, a resident of Flippin passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the Twin Lakes Nursing Center.
He was born May 22, 1923, to the late William and Bernice (Merchant) St. John. Donald served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After his military service he worked for several years at Bethlehem Steel in New York and then as a furniture refinisher for over 20 years.
Survivors include two brothers, Louis St. John of Tennessee and Billy St. John of Ashville, New York; his best friends and caregivers, Todd, Deborah and Amanda Risley of Fippin and his good friends, Randy Risley of Flippin, Penny Miller of Louisiana, Kricket Hite of Flippin and Scott Risley of Louisiana.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at the Hand Valley Cemetery near Rea Valley. Burial with military honors provided by the American Legion Alley-White Post 52 and the United States Army Honor Guard will be to follow under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
