(Mountain Home) – An investigation into the burglary of a private residence on Overhill Court in rural Mountain Home has resulted in the arrest of two Baxter County men on felony charges.
19-year-old Joseph Rowden of rural Mountain Home was arrested October 1, while 40-year-old Paul Langford was arrested October 11. Both were charged with felony Theft of Property and Residential Burglary.
On March 17, it was reported to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office that the residence had been burglarized and numerous items of personal property had been stolen, including jewelry, a pistol, old coins, a rifle, cameras, a watch and a video game system. In total, the amount of stolen goods were valued around $11,500.
The owner was away on vacation when the burglary occurred.
Both were held on $25,000 bond each. Rowden appeared in Circuit Court on October 3, and Langford is set to appear in Circuit Court on October 24. In addition, Rowden has a “no bond” hold for a probation violation, while Langford has a “no bond” hold for a parole violation. Both remain in the Baxter County Detention Center.
