West Plains, MO. – A Baxter County business owner has been charged with felony theft over $25,000 for taking money from customers and not providing services. Jessica Trivitt, age 41 of Mountain Home, was arrested by the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office on the charge following an investigation that began in December after they received a report on Southern Pool Company, which Trivitt is the owner.
The complaint claimed that Trivitt had taken $50,000 as a down payment for a pool installation and no work had been done after months and Trivitt had been exceedingly difficult to contact. The Sheriff’s Office had similar complaints filed against Trivitt in the past.
Following the arrest, Trivitt was released on $75,000 bond and is scheduled to be in court on Monday, January 23.
