Arkansas 4/20: Drive High, Get A DWI

Arkansas – On Saturday, April 20, 2024, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is teaming up with Arkansas law enforcement to warn and encourage drivers to stay sober on the unofficial marijuana “holiday”.

While Marijuana has become legal in some ways, it is still illegal to drive while impaired and affected by the drug. NHTSA wants to remind drivers: ” If You Feel Different, You Drive Different. Drive High, Get A DWI. It has been proven that marijuana and other drugs can slow your reaction times behind the wheel, impair cognitive performance, and make it more difficult for drivers to keep a steady position in their lane. All these can endanger yourself and others on the roadway.
