(Midway) – No injuries were reported when a plane made an emergency landing at Ozark Regional Airport in Midway around 5 PM Tuesday afternoon.
Baxter County Deputy Kris Savino told Ozark Radio News that Baxter County 911 received a call of a single-engine plane similar to a Cessna having electrical problems around 4:45 PM Tuesday afternoon. Crews from the Midway Fire Department, Arkansas State Police, Baxter Regional Medical Center and the Baxter County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the scene.
Savino says the plane was en route from Dallas and had only one passenger, despite earlier reports of four people on board. The pilot had apparently lost all communication due to the electrical issue and decided to make the emergency landing at Ozark Regional Airport in Midway just after 5 PM.
