(Poplar Bluff) – The John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff announced that due to equipment failure, the telephone system at the West Plains Community-Based Outpatient Clinic is currently down. Technicians are working to repair the problem, and expect to have a temporary system in place by 1:00 this afternoon.
In the interim, patients may dial 417-256-1119 to reach the clinic.
“We are working to address this equipment issue as quickly as possible,” stated Medical Center Director, Marj Hedstrom. “In the meantime, patient appointments will continue throughout the day. Our Veterans who are My HealtheVet users can still send a Secure Message to reach their providing teams,” Hedstrom added, referring to the online personal health record available to Veterans at www.myhealth.va.gov and the electronic messaging system available through the website.
