(West Plains) – The Computer Graphics and Programming Department at Missouri State University-West Plains will host an open house and information session for the Associate of Applied Science in Computer Graphics and Programming degree between 6:30-8:30 PM Thursday, April 25, in room 215 of the Lybyer Technology Center.
All area residents interested in learning about video game development or web development are invited to attend this free event, according to Jeff Huff, assistant professor of computer graphics and programming.
Professors and students currently in the program will be on hand to discuss career possibilities available with the AAS in Computer Graphics and Programming degree, as well as paths for attaining a Bachelor of Science in Technology-Virtual Media from the University of Central Missouri (UCM) in Warrensburg.
In August 2012, the Missouri State University Board of Governors approved a “memorandum of understanding” between Missouri State-West Plains and UCM that gives students seeking the Associate of Applied Science in Computer Graphics and Programming degree, emphasizing either web development or game development, seamless transfer into UCM’s Bachelor of Science in Technology-Virtual Media option program.
