(West Plains) – Gay Watson, Senior Executive Director of Marketing, Public Relations and Planning at Ozarks Medical Center, has been named a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the nation’s leading professional society for health care leaders.
ACHE’s members include more than 30,000 health care executives, who lead the nation’s hospitals and health care organizations.
Fellow status represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development. Only 8,500 health care executives hold this distinction. To obtain Fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, and demonstrating professional/community involvement. Fellows are also committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years.
Watson will be formally recognized as advancing to fellow status at a convocation ceremony in Chicago in March 2013. She is the third executive at OMC to earn this credential. OMC Chief Operating Officer Jeannie Looper will also be recognized at this ceremony as being named a Fellow and OMC President and CEO David Zechman is a current fellow.
