(Ava) – Mark Twain National Forest’s North Fork Recreation Area will be closing for the season on December 1.
Officials with MTNF says the gate at CC Highway will be locked, and no camping will be allowed while the area is closed. Also, no facilities will be available including bathrooms, trash service, or campground.
To access Devil’s Backbone Wilderness and Ridge Runner Trail, users can safely park at the gate at CC Highway and walk to Blue Springs trailhead to access Devil’s Backbone Wilderness or the Ridge Runner Trail trailhead.
North Fork Recreation Area will open for next season on March 1, 2013.
