(Jefferson City) – In July, during the summer drought, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon allocated emergency funding to help install wells at farms in the state, and the program was widely sought after, with $29 million in assistance asked for, which was 15 times over the original estimate.

Governor Nixon, in an exclusive interview with Ozark Radio News, gave us an update on the project:

Nixon visited a farm near Bendavis in Texas County in late August to survey the completion of one of the projects.
