Mountain View Police Chief James Perkins told Ozark Radio News on Thursday that the department has received a number of complaints of landowners who are allowing grass to run rampant.
Perkins says that if property is found to have grass that’s too tall, the property owner will receive a notice and will have 10 days to clean the property up. If the 10 days pass and the grass is not cut, the property owner will receive a citation, and have another week to get the property in line. If it is not done, multiple citations can be received. If enough citations are received, the property owner could face fines up to $500 per citation and a court date.
