(Jefferson City) – Missouri casino employees will serve as responsible gaming ambassadors during the casino industry’s 16th annual Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW) from Monday, August 5 to Friday, August 9.
RGEW was created by the American Gaming Association (AGA) in 1998 where they put the livelihood of Missouri gamblers first by promoting responsible gaming and increased awareness of problem gambling issues nationwide.
This years RGEW theme “How Do You Say Responsible Gaming?” embraces diversity and encourages employees to make a personal connection to responsible gaming. According to the AGA the gaming industry’s diversity among both employees and patron is one of its greatest strengths.
Executive director of the MGA Mike Winter shares that from top executives to front line team members responsible gaming is a year round priority of all Missouri casino employees.
The AGA will be placing a video on their YouTube channel and via other social media in the coming weeks of casino employees speaking responsible gaming messages into their own native languages. Missouri casinos will also be providing responsible gaming brochures and other materials in a variety of languages at every casino property during RGEW. They will also have a variety of other activities for casino goers to enjoy.
