(Eminence) – Mercy Hospital System has announced that the health system recently had to make some tough decisions in Shannon County.

Mercy Clinic Family Medicine in Eminence will permanently close after Monday, June 30. Every co-worker from that clinic will be moving to Mercy Clinic Family Medicine in Birch Tree, which will then begin operating five days a week instead of two. Physician assistant Mike Gaddy will relocate permanently to Birch Tree on a full-time basis. While many of Gaddy’s patients already live in Birch Tree, Mercy encourages others to transfer and take advantage of the expanded hours.

The Birch Tree clinic is 13 miles from Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View, so trips to get x-rays or testing, or pick up medicine from the pharmacy, will also be much shorter if patients need to make that trip.

For questions or concerns, or assistance in transferring to a new clinic, please call 573-226-5401. Mercy Clinic Family Medicine – Birch Tree will be open from 8:30 AM to 5 PM Monday-Friday starting July 1. Mercy also has a family medicine clinic in Summersville, which is open from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and the clinic in Mountain View is open from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday-Friday.
