(West Plains) – Families with young children looking for a safe, fun environment to spend Halloween night are invited to visit West Main and the Historic Court Square in West Plains from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.
Called the Great Pumpkin Downtown Festival, the free event will feature candy provided by downtown merchants, face painting at The Teacher’s Store, music, and hot dogs. The Festival will begin at the First United Methodist Church along West Main and around the Courthouse Square. Parking will be available at the Methodist Church and at all the public lots along the Square.
Children ages 11 and under are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes and bring their sacks for candy.
The event is being sponsored by West Plains Downtown Revitalization, Inc.
