(Springfield) – Donors to Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) provide all of the blood for patients at thirty-eight area hospitals. Every five minutes on average, a transfusion takes place. It takes around 250 donations each day to meet the area’s blood needs.
The CBCO will be hosting a number of blood drives in December. They will be at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava, from 1-4PM, at Seymour High School from 9 AM-3 PM and the United Methodist Church in Seymour, from 2-7 PM on Monday, December 2.They will also be at the Dairy Shack in Eminence from 1-5 PM, and Norwood High School from 9:30 AM-3 PM on Friday, December 6, and finally at the First Christian Church in West Plains on Thursday, December 5, from 11:30 AM- 5:30 PM.
Each donation will be awarded LifePoints as a part of CBCO’s donor rewards program. LifePoints may be redeemed online for a variety of gift cards or points may be assigned to other meaningful causes or charities.
