(Golden City, MO) – A man has been charged with kidnapping a 12-year-old southwest Missouri girl, and a body believed to be the girl has been found.
34-year-old Bobby Bourne Jr. of Lockwood was jailed Tuesday night in Barton County on $1 million bond.
Bourne had been taken into custody Monday evening after being found in a vehicle that witnesses said had picked up 12-year-old Adrianna Horton at a Golden City park about 90 minutes earlier.
Officers from than a dozen agencies were searching for Adrianna. Just before 2 PM Wednesday, a body was found in a rural area outside of Golden City, MO. Highway Patrol authorities say identification is underway.
The girl’s father, Golden City resident James Horton, said Bourne had once worked for him and that their children played together.

At approximately 1:50 p.m. today, in a rural area outside Golden City, Missouri, a body was located by law enforcement. Currently, the identity of the body is unknown and the identification process is underway.
The investigation of missing 12 year old Adriaunna M. Horton, who was last seen on Monday, August 19, getting into a vehicle near Hazel Park in Golden City, is ongoing.
