(West Plains) – Absentee ballots for the June 4 special election are now available in Howell County.
Absentee ballots are available to people who expect to be out of town on election day, incapacitated or confined due to illness or disability. To receive an absentee ballot by mail, applications must be received in the County Clerk’s office no later than 5 PM on Wednesday, May 29. People wishing to vote absentee by mail are encouraged to submit their application early in order to have ample time to receive and return their ballot no later than election day.
Absentee ballots may be voted in person in the County Clerk’s Office, on the first floor of the former Bank of America building in downtown West Plains until 5 PM on Monday, June 3.
The voter registration deadline to vote in the special congressional election will be at 5 PM Wednesday, May 8. You may register at the County Clerk’s Office in downtown West Plains, or at the Willow Springs or Mountain View city halls.
