(Washington) -With Labor Day on Monday, many are going to get their final kick of summer fun this weekend, and one group is urging the public to be safe on the water.
Rachel Johnson, communications director for the National Safe Boating Council, and national campaign coordinator for the North American Safe Boating Campaign, has some safety tips for the public for this upcoming holiday:
She says that in Missouri, there were 20 boating deaths in 2011, compared to 14 in 2010. In Arkansas, there were 14 deaths in 2010, and 11 in 2011.
