(West Plains) – A “parade” of Monster Trucks, including the legendary Bigfoot, will travel through West Plains on Friday, August 15, and city officials are encouraging motorists and residents to use caution as it passes through town.

The Monster Trucks will be transported by flat-bed trucks, and the escort will be led by the West Plains Police Department. The parade will begin at 2 PM on Highway 160/Preacher Roe Boulevard near Penney’s, and continue on Preacher Roe to West Main Street, around the Downtown Square, up Broadway, and will continue on Porter Wagoner Boulevard to the Fairgrounds.

The parade is a prelude to the Toughest Monster Truck Tour event, which will be held August 15 and 16 at the Fairgrounds. Gates open at 5 PM each evening, with the pit party at 5:30 PM and the show at 7:30 PM. In addition to Bigfoot, other Monster Truck participants are Barbarian, Tailgator, Heavy Hitter and River Rat.

Residents with ATVs, jeeps, motorcycles, and off-road trucks who would like to participate in the Monster Truck parade can contact Sonny Smith with Wayward Son Productions, who is producing the event, at 417-522-9891.
