(Longrun) – Two Thornfield residents suffered minor injuries Thursday afternoon after the vehicle they were in ran off-road and hit a culvert and a rock embankment.
17-year-old Sara Cunningham, the driver of the vehicle, and 14-year-old Bailey Cunningham, were both wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred. Bailey was taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. A report from the Highway Patrol states that Sara refused treatment at the scene.
The accident happened on Highway 95 south of County Road 915 at Longrun around 5:15 PM.
