(Mountain Home) – Two Gamaliel men were arrested after a domestic disturbance call in Gamaliel on Monday.
Deputies arrested 41-year-old Wayne Motes and 21-year-old Kyle Motes on misdemeanor charges after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance fight call at approximately 7:07 PM at 4975 Highway 101 North in Gamaliel.
The call made to 911 from that residence reported a woman screaming and violence taking place inside the residence. Deputies reported persons at the residence were being uncooperative, were refusing entry and making veiled threats, and that there may be a woman inside who was hurt.
Wayne and Kyle Motes finally came out of the house and talked with officers. Both were charted with terroristic threatening and obstructing governmental operations. Kyle has also been charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia after investigators say a syringe of meth was found in his pocket.
The woman had minor injuries and refused medical treatment, according to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office.
Both of them are being held in lieu of bond and will appear in court later this month. The Arkansas State Police assisted at the scene.
