(West Plains) – Champagne and diamonds will be a part of the Ozarks Medical Center Fifth Annual Blue Jean Ball at 6 p.m. Sept. 21. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a limited number of champagne glasses, each containing a single stone.
One glass will contain a half carat diamond, valued at $2,000. The diamond has been donated by Carter’s Jewel Chest in Mountain Home, Arkansas. According to OMC Foundation Executive Director Ward Franz, 100 glasses will be available for purchase the evening of the event for $25 each. Guests will then have the opportunity to have their stone tested at the event to learn if they have the real diamond.
The winner will take home the diamond.
The Blue Jean Ball is the signature event of the OMC Foundation and proceeds go to support local health care. Tickets are $50 and may be purchased at the OMC Foundation at No. 12 Parkway Center or at the OMC Public Relations Department at No.21 Parkway Center. The admission ticket includes food, drinks and entertainment. Sponsorships, which include benefits such as reserved seating in the “Sheriff’s Tent,” are also available.
In 2012, approximately 600 people attended the Blue Jean Ball, raising a total of $73,563. For more information on tickets or sponsorships contact the OMC Foundation at 417-853-5200.
