(Mountain Home) – Laura Knox, Instructor of Education at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home (ASUMH), was recently selected Faculty Member of the Year by her peers.

Knox is a graduate of Mountain Home High School (MHHS). After graduating from MHHS, she attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO, where she earned a degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. After graduation, she was employed at the University of Nebraska-Wesleyan. Knox then moved to Denver, Colorado, and earned her Master’s Certification in Elementary Education K-6 at the University of Colorado-Denver.

In 1994, she moved back to Mountain Home and began teaching for the Mountain Home public schools. During that time, she earned a Master of Science in Education Administration from Arkansas State University – Jonesboro. Knox began teaching at ASUMH as an adjunct in 2005 and became full-time faculty in 2010.
