A total of 11 arrests and 33 warnings were issued in conjunction with a sobriety checkpoint conducted in Texas County on March 16 near the intersection of Business Highway 60 and Dunn Drive. Totals from this checkpoint include 2 felony drug arrests, 2 non-moving summonses, 1 no driver’s license summons, and 6 seat belt summonses.
Meanwhile, a total of nine arrests and 16 warnings were issued in conjunction with a DWI saturation conducted on Highway 160 and Highway 5 in Ozark County on March 15.
Totals from this saturation include 3 seat belt summonses, 2 uninsured motorist summonses, and one hazardous moving violation summons.
Captain Dwayne Isringhausen, commanding officer of Troop G, says that the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint.
