Absentee ballots are available to people who expect to be out of town on election day, are incapacitated, or confined due to illness or disability. To receive an absentee ballot by mail, an application must be received by the county clerk’s office no later than 5 PM on March 27. People who wish to vote by mail are urged to turn in their application early in order to have ample time to receive and return their ballot before election day.
Absentee votes can also be cast in the former Bank of America building in Downtown West Plains until 5 PM Monday, April 1.
The voter registration deadline is at 5 PM Wednesday, March 6.
A sample ballot can be found here.
